SOCIAL CASH TRANSFER  ELATES BENEFICIARIES

Kazungula - (8 MAY, 2022) Social Cash Transfer beneficiaries have applauded Government for the recent increment noticed in their recent packages which they said about a K100 was seeing as an addition to the K300 previously received.

Old women and men have told the reporter that this addition will go a long way in solving their daily challenges.
Mary Mukusi has expressed gratitude to government for being considerate especially to people like her in her wheelchair, she shares beautiful story saying, through the money she receives from Social Cash Transfer, she has managed to start developing her plot.

Ms. Mukusi says she is very happy that government is really doing the best looking at her past experience where she only relied upon her sister who sells tomato at the market but she can as well contribute to the family needs.
She said mostly when the money comes, a K300 is reserved for some pockets of cement for molding of blocks.

Ms. Mukusi is however, appealing to government to expedite the delays in paying the beneficiaries so that they can avoid getting kaloba in trying to easy the financial pressure.

Meanwhile, another beneficially named Joyce Masambo is begging government that if there can be more addition to the cash.

Joyce said she is undergoing psychiatric medication and she uses the money on transport to Livingstone where she gets the medication from.
She further commended the New dawn government on the increment  and has however recommended that payments should be timely.
