Encyclopaedia Britannica has made a heartwarming donation to the pupils in Zambia by providing 276 copies of its one-volume children's encyclopedia through The Book Bus, a library service that reaches remote areas of the country. This generous gift is aimed at promoting reading and empower children with valuable knowledge that can shape their educational journey.

The Britannica All New Kids Encyclopedia, curated by world history author Christopher Lloyd, is a comprehensive guide filled with illustrations and reliable facts to spark curiosity in young minds. Unlike traditional encyclopedias, this book takes readers on a journey through time, covering topics from the beginning of the world to modern-day innovations.

According to a press release, the donation is part of Britannica's effort to bridge the digital divide and provide educational resources to learners who may not have easy access to the internet. By partnering with The Book Bus, the company hopes to impact the lives of over 9,000 children attending 30 schools in Zambia, especially those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The CEO of The Book Bus, Mr. David Gordon, expressed gratitude for Britannica's support, stating that the encyclopedias will bring joy and purpose to eager learners in the country.

While, Kaela Chishimba, a teacher with Book Bus Link, emphasized the importance of these books in expanding children's horizons, sparking their ambition, and contributing to their success in both school and life.

Encyclopaedia Britannica provides educational resources to underserved communities, the company continues to make a positive impact in global education.
